Christmas Party Yields Many Donations for Moms and Babies!
On December 19th, we once again co-sponsored the annual adult Christmas party with Carmel Council, and as ususal, admission was free and everybody had a great time (and great food from Aversano's and our own chefs Rob & Mike). In response to our request for attendees to bring donations, we collected a large quantity of supplies for the moms, moms-to-be and babies served by Emmanuel House International. Diapers, baby formula, baby and maternity clothing, gift cards and more were all geneously donated by everybody attending the party.
Our Assembly Color Corps Honors Major Relic of Saint John Paul II We were honored to have our Color Corps serve as honor guard for the major relic of St. John Paul II, which went on a national tour, when it was venerated at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City on July 12-13, 2014.
Pictured in the photograph above are Color Corps Commander Mike O'Brien (in purple, back to camera), and Navigator Rob Firriolo (behind and photo-left of Fr. Gregory Gresko, chaplain of the St. John Paul II national shrine, bearing the relic).
The KofC Supreme Council has posted a gallery of photos of the relic at St. Patrick's Cathedral, which may be viewed here. Our Assembly Welcomes Four New Sir Knights
On Saturday, March 29, 2014, we welcomed four brother Knights to the Fourth Degree and to our Assembly at the exemplification held in Fishkill. Our newest brother Sir Knights are:

On March 9th, the Mother Cabrini Color Corps was honored to lead Knights from our member councils in the 38th consecutive 2014 Northern Westchester-Putnam Saint Patrick's Day Parade -- the third largest such parade in New York State!
It was a beautiful day in Mahopac, and the turnout of spectators and marchers was impressive. The Color Corps marched in the formation of the Cross, and saluted at the reviewing stand our own member, Sir Knight John J. Callaghan, who was the parade Grand Marshal. The many photos of the Color Corps that ran in local media outlets prove the Color Corps really is"the visible arm of the Knights of Columbus"!
